Here’s the thing… most surveyors are not roofing experts. It is not uncommon, for example, for them to identify that a roof is finished with slates when it’s actually a concrete tile.
We already work in association with a number of local Estate Agents who refer property purchasers to us when there is a concern regarding a roof – this may be something that has been flagged on their home buyers survey.
We will then visit the property to inspect the roof and identify any faults and produce a report.
Often this report will then be used by the purchaser to negotiate on the agreed purchase price.
Depending on the type of survey you choose, we can provide photographs, advice on the necessary remedial works and guidance on costs. We will produce the report including photographs of the roof and our recommendations for works/maintenance.
The cost of the report is £80.00 plus VAT.
We understand that often these can be urgent when there is a conveyancing chain and if needed we can issue the written report the same day.
